Spark/Wire Erosion or Electronic Discharge Machine (EDM)

CNC EDM or Spark Erosion for Precision EngineeringElectronic Discharge Machining or EDM using wire erosion can deliver greater precision of between 0.004mm and 0.040mm faster and more economically, and with greater guarantees of accuracy than conventional electrical discharge machining techniques. Wire erosion is a non-contact process which enables us to create very fine detail without distortion or stress being imparted into the work-piece. Because there is no tooling to wear out, wire erosion offers superior repeatability and consistency on every part manufactured to a tolerance of up to 5 microns.

Spark or wire erosion is used to cut materials such as Stainless Steel, Titanium, Hastelloy, Inconels, Tungsten Carbide, Aluminium Alloys, Graphite and Copper. With all programming taking place on 3D CAM systems highly complex contoured shapes can be produced.
